Current for store builds 0.5.1 and 0.5.2.

Most modes are solo. Local play exists and stops at four people on the same computer. There is no official online matchmaking.

What you can do

Sit at one Windows or Linux machine. Up to four people can take a local session. Before a line starts, you can talk through how you want to play it, then record.

The loop is still: pick a clip, record, see the result, pick the next clip. There is no ranked ladder and no gacha.

Line-by-line recording is its own mode. Those buttons live on Choicer Voice Dub Mode. Do not treat Dub Mode as an internet lobby.

Online lobby or matchmakingNoneThe store says online multiplayer does not exist

There is no official room code, no cross-play, and no browser server that is the paid game. A site that reuses the name is not a multiplayer host.

How a local night actually runs

  1. Install the desktop build from Choicer Voice Download.
  2. Get everyone in the same room, on that one computer.
  3. Pick the clip. Talk the line if you want. Then record.
  4. If extra voices leak into a take, mute the people who are not on the mic. That fix is on Choicer Voice Mic Not Working.
  5. Save the take and go to the next clip.

If the build you launched has no four-player option, you are in a solo mode. That is the common case.

FAQ

Can I play with friends over the internet?

No official online multiplayer exists. Local play is same-computer only.

Is the four-player session the same as Dub Mode?

No. Dub Mode is the line-by-line recorder. Local multiplayer is a same-room session that caps at four. Use the Dub Mode page for Record, Clip again, and Save dub.

Do I need four copies of the game?

You need one official desktop install and one computer. The store does not sell a four-seat online license.
