How to Make a Choicer Voice Pack
A custom pack is a folder of audio files. Drop the files in, pick the folder in Custom, then record. This site does not host clips.
Current for store builds 0.5.1 and 0.5.2.
A custom pack is a folder of audio files. Drop the files in, then pick that folder in Custom. You do not upload anything to this website.
What you need first
- The paid Windows or Linux build from Choicer Voice Download.
- Audio files you are allowed to use.
- A folder on your computer that will hold only that pack.
Do not rip films or TV audio to fill the folder. This site will not take those files and will not publish them.
If you are hunting an already-made folder instead of building one, use Choicer Voice Packs.
Build the folder
| Step | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Create an empty folder | Your computer, next to the game or in Documents | Official install help is “audio in a folder,” not a site upload |
| 2. Drop in the audio files | That same folder | The game reads the folder as the pack |
| 3. Open Custom | In-game menu | Custom is the pack and host desk |
| 4. Select the folder | The Custom pack list | Until you pick it, Dub Mode has nothing to prompt |
| 5. Press Begin on a clip | Dub Mode | The folder is useless until you record over a line |
Keep one pack per folder. Mixing two people’s files in one directory makes the picker harder to read.
After you record
The game can open a Recordings folder. Saved dubs land there. That folder is local. It is not a cloud library and it is not hosted here.
Replay the full take before you judge a single line. One sentence often sounds thin; the saved clip is the thing to keep or redo. Button names for that loop are on Choicer Voice Dub Mode.
When the folder will not change anything
- You never selected it in Custom.
- You launched a browser clone instead of the desktop build.
- The mic is not reaching the game. Fix that on Choicer Voice Mic Not Working before you rebuild the folder.
FAQ
Do I upload the pack to this site?
No. The official path is local files in a folder.
Can I use any audio I find?
Only audio you have the right to use. This page will not walk a rip of someone else’s movie.
Where do my finished dubs go?
In the Recordings folder the game can open. Look there after Save dub, not in the browser.
